About me
Vera van der Slot is a Traditional Hatha Yoga Teacher and Healer.
I’m devoted to creating a space where hearts feel safe to open and souls are gently guided back home.
My presence offers a soft landing, a space where you can slow down, drop in, and truly listen to the whispers of your inner world.
Who am I? What is my purpose in life?
These questions have lived in me since I was young. I always sensed the universe had a different path in mind for me, something deeper, more aligned with the truth of who I am.
It took many years, and a gradual burning out, before I could truly face the reality that the life I was living no longer resonated with my soul. Eventually, I reached a point of deep surrender. I fell, hard, but that fall became the doorway to awakening. It was in the darkness that I began to see the light.
Travel became my medicine. I explored new ways of living, met people who inspired me, and discovered places that lit up my heart.
Yoga came into my life and changed everything.
On the mat, I finally allowed myself to be fully me, to accept my body, feel my emotions, live from my heart, and simply be. That sacred space of practice became a portal to my healing. And from that moment, I knew I could never return to the life I had in the Netherlands.
I needed to follow the spark that I felt in my heart, that feeling of being truly alive. This journey led me to a spiritual community in Sweden, a place that, for the first time, felt like home.
Yoga became my daily practice, my way of living. I fell in love with Traditional Hatha Yoga, a practice deeply rooted in the heart, in presence, and in ancient wisdom. It wasn’t just a physical practice, it was a path of coming home to myself. And I knew I wanted to share it, because it brought me back to life and back into my heart.
I completed two Hatha Yoga teacher trainings at Hridaya in Mexico and Love Evolve Awaken in Italy, and began teaching within my community in Sweden. Now, I live in Australia, by Wallaga Lake and the sea, at the foot of Sacred Mother Mountain, Gulaga. I am grateful to feel held by nature and surrounded by a heart-centered community.
When life flows and I follow my heart, I know I’m aligned with my path. And right now, I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
I look forward to welcoming you on the mat and sharing this practice from my heart. You are welcome, exactly as you are.
You are whole. You are enough.
